Testimonials
CancerBlankets convey an inspirational message of love and optimism to people experiencing one of the many challenges life’s sends our way including cancer, chronic illness and extreme loss. A COURAGE blanket was given to a student leaving home for the first time to attend college. A mother purchased a STRENGTH blanket for her 19 year old son to offer him encouragement as he entered a month long anorexia treatment program.

I am proud to share some of the many “thank you’s” I have received from purchasers and receivers of CancerBlankets.

Raema shared this touching story of a granddaughter’s fond memories: “I gave a beautiful soft pink PEACE CancerBlanket to a dear friend of 38 years who was suffering from an extremely rare nerve cancer. It became her special blanket used only for trips to the hospital or when family and friends came to visit at her home on Sunday afternoons and holidays. She used it for almost a year before she finally passed away. Shortly after she died, one of her young granddaughters began to curl up with it on her grandmother's bed for naps in the sun. I was delighted to hear that family members gave this blanket with all of its warm memories to this little granddaughter. This act gave new meaning to the phrase "the gift that keeps on giving."  I am so glad that I chose to give my friend the blanket rather than a bouquet of flowers---it has become a family heirloom!

Joanne’s family gave a COURAGE blanket to her brother as he progressed further into his battle with a rare form of brain cancer: "My brother went nuts – loved the blanket!! Thanks, Patti!"

And this message was forwarded: "Dear Patsy, I can’t tell you what a huge, pleasant surprise awaited me at the Office, and how greatly it is appreciated. Every time I go to Chemo I get so very cold from the Chemicals, well no more. Now I can just wrap myself up in that beautiful blanket and stay warm thru & thru.”

My husband and I gave a HOPE blanket to a friend after they lost their home in a landslide: “Thank you so much for the lovely blanket. The words of hope were inspiring and brought tears to our eyes. Friends like you have given us the strength to move on and look forward to a brighter future” ……With love, Fatima and Alan

Linda shared this note from a friend in dialysis to whom she sent a STRENGTH blanket: "Thank you for the wonderfully warm, soft and purple blanket. I take it with me each time I go to dialysis and am toasty and secure in the knowledge that I have so many loving friends......Love K."
